3rd XI v Wokingham 1st Team

Excellent result guys all-round the youngsters stepped up admirably combined with the guidance from our experienced elder statesman. The team fielded and bowled these guys out in under 35 of the 45 allotted overs, so maximum league points on the day. 3 wicket hauls from Anders & Sunny and a couple from Michael and 1 from Binay for his 1st and only ball. Great opening bat from Waz with 47 with Louis keeping his end ticking over for 14 with no losses to the batting order. Apologies to you guys if you didn’t bat on the day, I guess you fielded and bowled so well the opposition couldn’t post a decent score for us to chase in the end. We have already and will undoubtedly encounter stronger opposition than the Wokingham side as the season progresses, but with the overall approach and effort put in by you guys on the day, if we can mirror and develop that still further, I'm sure we could be there or thereabouts come the promotion title race at the end of the season.
