Match Report

Great effort on Saturday and a big shout out to Lous Dean for his Maiden 50 with 57 Not Out.

We are now standing 6th in the league and if we had beaten Reading 4's 2 weeks ago by 14 runs we would have another 20 points to our tally and should be sitting joint 4th or higher with 4 matches played and 3 wins to our credit. NB Dont forget we still have a match in hand over all the teams above us!!! and we have Yately 2's this Sat sitting just below us who havent faired well so far so we should close out Saturday with 5 matches played with 3 victories which could move us up into 3rd overall. Logically, thats our target for Saturday to move up the league table!!

Match Report I lost the toss (again) and we were put into the field and the home side got away well before loosing the 1st wicket for 61. The 2nd wicket fell at 105 so MBCC were looking in good shape. Some great bowling from Indie, Sunny & Rahul stopped the rot with us keeping them to 182 for 7 after 40 overs so things looking good for us at this stage. As a note to us all, and this is a reciprocating issue week on week, combined with running between the wickets, the extras we gave played its part in the home teams sucess with the bat, whilst not a massive total for us to chase, the extras totalled 32 (14 byes, 2 leg byes, 9 wides and 10 No Balls...TEN!!!!) of thier 182 runs *** equalling 17% *** In a close game this is where we will loose out if we cant focus on reducing this significantly.

Our turn now with the bat, 1st over, BANG 2 wickets gone on ball 2 & 4!!!! Louis walks out to the wicket batting 3, suddenly 183 looks a long way off. Some determined batting from Louis keeping his end ticking over, combined with supporting efforts from Syed 17, Indie 34, Sunny 20 & Rahul 15 Not Out to finally get us over the line. From the field the home team also provided 34 Extras so a great result clawed back from the jaws of defeat. Well done guys.

Things to work on Below is our stats and the only thing I can deduce, of our catches we were 50% take against our 80% targ
