Ali Driver (65) and M Baker (45) helped Sonning reach 243-5 but Purley managed to hold on for the draw on 231-8
Paul Neal (94) and Nikel Patel (47) led Purley's reply in the face of some fine bowling from Steve Banning (4-53) but they eventually finished just short of their target and settled for the draw.
