Dellar-Law Century Powers Sonning 4th XI to Commanding Victory at Charvil

Sonning 4th XI delivered a dominant performance at Charvil, defeating Emmbrook & Bearwood by a comprehensive 247 runs after posting an imposing total of 347-6 from their allotted 40 overs.

Having won the toss and elected to bat, Sonning overcame an early setback when opener Aveer Sidhu departed for 9. This brought together Kavya Panchal and Kyle Dellar-Law, who combined magnificently in a match-defining 173-run partnership. Panchal contributed a well-crafted 69 from 75 deliveries, including seven boundaries and two sixes, before falling LBW to Sriram Srimushnam.

Dellar-Law was the standout performer, powering his way to a superb 119 from just 76 balls. His innings, featuring 17 fours and three sixes, provided the backbone of Sonning's formidable total. Henry Cook added further impetus with a quickfire 60 from 33 deliveries, clearing the boundary rope six times in his explosive knock.

Sagar Dave provided valuable late-order runs with an unbeaten 42 from 27 balls as Sonning accelerated towards their final total. Sankalp Avadhanula was the pick of the Emmbrook & Bearwood bowlers, claiming 2-37 from his six overs, while the remaining attack struggled to contain Sonning's rampant batting display.

In reply, Emmbrook & Bearwood's innings faltered from the outset, losing both Sriram Srimushnam and Gururaj Parvatikar for ducks with just seven runs on the board. Toby Fitton inflicted this early damage, finishing with impressive figures of 2-22 from his eight overs.

Chaithanya Nuguri offered the only significant resistance for the home side, striking eight boundaries in his 41 from 48 balls before falling to Sonning captain Kabir Dave, who claimed 2-19 from five disciplined overs. Christopher Dowse proved devastatingly effective in his three-over spell, taking 3-3 with two maidens to help dismiss Emmbrook & Bearwood for just 100 in 26 overs.

Sophie Smith was outstanding in the field for Sonning, taking three catches to support a bowling attack that shared the wickets, with Aashmit Ghosh also contributing with figures of 2-26. The comprehensive victory underlined Sonning 4th XI's batting strength and bowling discipline in this Division 10B encounter.
