1st XI v Sandhurst 1st Team

Draw

Sandhurst won the toss and elected to bat.

Match Report

Defending champions Sonning are still searching for their first win after being held to a draw by Sandhurst.

Latif Gohar followed up last week’s superb century by hitting 46, but he was outshone this time by Duncan Parr and JJ Harris.

Parr hammered 61 and Harris blasted an excellent 80, while Steve Roberts’ 31 helped Sonning to declare on 259-3 off their 45 overs.

Sandhurst were never in the hunt for victory, but they dug deep to hold on at 147-9 after their allotted overs.

Gohar claimed 2-6 off six overs, and there were also two wickets apiece for Ghulam Abbas, Phil Swan and George Troughton.
