U11 Sabres Claim Victory in Entertaining Pairs Cricket Contest Against Spartans

Sonning U11 Sabres won the toss and elected to bat at Knowl Hill CC on 24 August, setting up what proved to be a high-scoring pairs cricket encounter against the Under 11 Spartans. Captain Ridith Kandadi's side posted 128 for 3 from their 16 overs before the Spartans replied with 138 for 13, but the Sabres' superior wicket column — aided by the pairs format's dismissal penalties — proved decisive in securing the win.

The Sabres' batting was characterised by contributions throughout the order rather than one dominant innings. Bhuvik Rao Mane Prakashrao Santhoshrao led the way at the top with a brisk 18 from 14 balls, striking three boundaries to get the innings off to a positive start. Zain Baloch was equally impressive lower down, cracking 17 off 12 deliveries with two fours, while Seve Horton contributed a fluent 15 from just 10 balls in the middle order.

Elijah Patterson added 14 off 13 balls and Freddie Jansen chipped in with 13 from 13, ensuring a healthy total was assembled.
