Sonning U9 Falcons secured a convincing victory over Finchampstead in their BYCL Under 9 Super 8s Central league fixture on 15 July, chasing down 85 with a total of 126 for 6 from their 16 overs at King George's Field.

Finchampstead won the toss and elected to bat first, but were kept in check by a disciplined Sonning bowling attack that shared four wickets across the innings. Abdul-Ahad Baig set the tone with an outstanding spell of 2-5 from his two overs, including a maiden — a remarkable achievement at this age group.
