Sonning Women's 1st XI claimed a hard-fought victory away at Wargrave Cricket Club on Wednesday evening, chasing down 74 to win in their Super 8 Development Group 1 fixture. Captain Grace Phillips won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that ultimately proved decisive as her bowlers restricted the hosts to a manageable total.

Wargrave's innings of 73 for 5 from their 16 overs was built around contributions from the lower order, with Srisha Ganagabalana and Laanya Rupasinha both scoring 12 apiece. Rupasinha struck two boundaries in her 12-ball knock, while Ganagabalana found the rope once during her brisk innings.
