Sonning Women's 1st XI secured a hard-fought three-run victory over Crowthorne & Crown Wood in their Super 8 Development Group 2 fixture on 14th May 2023, defending a modest total of 54 with a disciplined bowling display that restricted the hosts to 51 for eight.

Having been asked to bat first after Crowthorne won the toss and elected to field, Sonning found run-scoring difficult against a varied home attack. Opener Siobhan Davis top-scored with a brisk 16 off 17 balls, providing the most significant contribution with the bat.
