An excellent batting display from 3 early batsmen with Jameel opening again this week scoring again on the right side of 50, with Shamie coming in at 3 after Proff D was dispatched early doors with an excellent 93 kept things ticking over at his end. An excellent 54 from David Coutts which between these 3 major scores, collectively putting on nearly 200 runs in less than 40 overs giving the visiting team a closing score of 259 for 5 to beat. Alas it was to high a mountain for them to climb and Phoenix succumbed to a steady bowling attack, consistantly picking off wickets as the bowlers, in particular Jameel again having to buy beer with 5 for 23 and David this time talking a brace of wickets despatched with 2 excellent deliveries that didnt need to bother neither leg or off stump, his 1st wickets and for the club, (Congratulations to him). With excellent assistance from Vinay & Adeel taking the remaining other 3 wickets between them leaving the visitors all out and 103 runs shy. A great all round effort from all involved and even better with only 10 men out there. Thanks to all.
