After being inserted by Harpsden, who won the toss and elected to field, the Sharks amassed 163 for 4 from their 20 overs before restricting the visitors to 107 for 7 in reply.

The Sonning innings was built on contributions throughout the order, with Freddie Jansen leading the way with an impressive 20 off 15 balls, striking two fours in a fluent knock that provided vital impetus in the closing stages.
