Spartans Fall Short as Finchampstead Claim Victory at the Leas

Sonning U11 Spartans travelled to Finchampstead Leas on Sunday for their BYCL Under 11 Challenge (Tier 1) Central fixture but were unable to find the form needed, as the home side's Under 11 Falcons secured the win.

Playing in the pairs format with a starting score of 200 and a five-run penalty for each dismissal, the Spartans knew that discipline with both bat and ball would be essential. Captain Niko Jordinson led his side of eight players into the contest, but Finchampstead proved too strong on the day, collecting the full 20 league points while Sonning were left empty-handed.
