Sonning Women's 1st XI suffered a 36-run defeat at home to Wargrave in the Super 8 Development Group 2 on 21st May, unable to chase down a modest target of 83 after captain Sharon Fleming won the toss and elected to field first.

Wargrave's innings was built around contributions throughout the order, with Amy Bennett top-scoring with 18 off 15 balls, including a boundary, batting at number seven. Captain Tia Veevers got the visitors off to a positive start with 12 off 13 balls, striking the only six of the match, while Kaelin Dell chipped in with 13 off 14 deliveries, finding the boundary twice.
