There is a Spring light at the end of the Winter tunnel as we look towards the 2020 season!
With our great new website – registration has never been easier including the on-line card payment facility! You can even start to set your availability now – so why not grab your diary and set your holiday dates (Setting to ‘not available’ means we don’t contact you to double check). Existing members should check their details too – our communication with you is only as good as the information provided to us.
Training is underway – the Juniors seeing a healthy attendance to their first sessions! We remind the Seniors, Tuesday evenings 6.30 – 8.30pm bring full kit and ball. All Indoor training is being held at Waingels College with their new nets and lighting. Plenty of room, lots of parking so why not bring along that friend who has always been ‘thinking about it’. Moving outside towards end of April – training days have not changed and Juniors should refer to https://www.sonningcc.com/content/juniors-winter-and-summer-coaching for their age specific times. Of course – the infamous BBQ will be back and as ever, any help is appreciated!
We encourage you to take a tour around the website – there are some small tweaks being carried out behind the scenes, but we think you will agree that our webmaster, our very own Charles Astwood, has made a sterling job and specific thanks to Elinor and John Longridge whose contribution has been huge. The website will be our main tool of communication and our way of keeping you up to date with club information, news and social activity.
Sonning Cricket Club is growing! Run by a team of volunteers, we are always keen to hear from anyone who would like to be more involved. Whether it be coaching, scoring, umpiring – there are courses available to help you gain the relevant qualification. Please let your Coach/Manager know if you can offer us some of your time.
